My feelings on the end of high school
High School is coming to a close for myself and about 300 of my comrades here at CM. We have laughed together, cried together, lived together and learned together. When I was younger, I remember people saying the new high school looked like a prison. After some of the seniors went to the actual prison, I doubt they will ever echo these thoughts again. We have been through a lot together. We were the first class to go through only one middle school and the tenth class to go through this new high school. We never felt the rivalries of Lock Haven vs BEN, though we do know they existed. I wonder if ten years ago they saw this down the road. We are Central Mountain. We are the Wildcats. But now we are leaving, passing the legacy of our school to the underclassmen. And I ask that they take this seriously. The last two classes passed the PSSA, so if they don't, it will look rather silly. And I pass my legacy on to you who have walked these halls and will walk these halls. I dare you to be bold. I challenge you to take on AP Chem or Calc. But most importantly, I wish you a great journey. High school is more difficult than I anticipated. I was not fully prepared. I ask that you try your hardest to be prepared. For without some preparation, life would simply be chaos.
